PRE CLASS: Students present any work done during last week for review.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION: the perspective of a scene with emphasis on the closer objects being bigger.

WARM UPS: circles touching each other in a grid pattern.  Box weaves.

CLASS PROJECTS:  Antique clock, box shaped like a book with emphasis on detail. Drawings from magazines.   

LONG TERM PROJECT: on this page write “My enemy shouted, ‘I have brought it’ and threw my (name of heirloom) in the bowl of fire. Draw a picture of your heirloom in the bowl of fire.

Next page write. “The heirloom disappeared and it turned up in my hand” Draw a picture of your avatar holding the heirloom.

Next page write. “The priest came said, ‘Only the rightful owner may offer the holy (Name of the heirloom) and become king. Will you become king?’ Draw a picture of the priest pointing to your avatar.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION: 

WARM UPS: “W” patterns making tops and bottoms of the “W” even. Tornados that are darker at the bottom. Using only straight lines draw a farm.

QUICK SKETCH CHALLENGE: We will draw an item in 5 minutes

CLASS PROJECTS:  We will draw still life items.  We will practice skills from previous lessons. 

LONG TERM PROJECT: on this page write “I yelled noooo!” and attacked. Draw a picture of your avatar battling your enemy.

Next page write. “The guards separated us and held us back.”  Draw a picture of that showing the guards holding the enemy and your avatar.

Next page write. “A priest came in and said, “The one who brings the sacred (name of your heirloom)’ Becomes the high king of all the lands.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION:  Demonstrating the "Grouped Mass Composition” where several masses of varying form values and color grouped together in one pleasing design.

CLASS PROJECTS:  Drawing for self-discovery, using magazine pictures or still life items to compose a picture using the “Grouped Mass Composition.”

PRE CLASS: Students present any work done during last week for review.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION:  Demonstrating the "Grouped Mass Composition” where several masse of varying form values and color grouped together in one pleasing design.

WARM UPS:   cylinders with shadingS shaped lines, triangles cross intersecting and shaded in different values. Using only circles draw an animal.

QUICK SKETCH CHALLENGE: We will draw an item in 5 minutes

CLASS PROJECTS:  Drawing for self-discovery. Using magazine pictures to compose a picture using the “Grouped Mass Composition” 

LONG TERM PROJECT: on this page write “The guards tried to block me but I knocked them over and ran in to the temple.” Draw a picture of your avatar knocking down guards with weapons.

Next page write. “I saw my enemy standing in front of a statue of a king. He had my heirloom in his hand.”  Draw a picture of your enemy standing in front of a statue of a king holding the heirloom.

Next page write. “A bowl of fire came out of the floor and a voice said ‘make a gift to the king and become the next king.’ I knew he was going to throw my (name your heirloom) in the fire.” Draw a picture of your enemy holding the heirloom over or above in the bowl of fire.

We are almost finished.

PRE CLASS:
 Students present any work done last week for review and critique.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION:  Demonstrating the "3 point composition," Where 3 points of interest will be balanced in a pleasing arrangement.

We will experiment with colored pencils to see what effects we can make. 

QUICK SKETCH CHALLENGE: We will draw an item in 10 minutes in monochrome.

CLASS PROJECTS:Choices include landscapes emphasis on the 3 spot composition form.

PRE CLASS: Students present any work done during last week for review.

INSTRUCTION AND DEMONSTRATION:  Demonstrating the "3 spot Composition,” where there are 3 or more points of interest that are harmoniously placed.

WARM UPS: squiggly lines like a jigsaw puzzle to make texture. shading lines like grass, block ares  in different grays. 

QUICK SKETCH CHALLENGE: We will draw an item in 5 minutes

CLASS PROJECTS:  drawing glasses and crystal candle holders to get a realistic effect. 

LONG TERM PROJECT: on this page write “He ran into a small city on the mountain.” Draw a picture of your enemy running away to the city on a mountain.

Next page write. I chased him through the city streets.” Draw a picture of your avatar and the enemy running through the city streets.

Next page write. “I chased him into the city temple of worship.” Draw a fantastic temple and your avatar is chasing the enemy into it.
